Napa Valley College names new leader
A veteran college administrator from central Pennsylvania will be Napa Valley College’s new president. Edna Baehre was unanimously selected for the post by the NVC board of trustees. Baehre leads Harrisburg Area Community College in Harrisburg, Pa., where she became president in 1997. The decision to hire her came on the heels of a months-long, international search incorporating input from college officials, students and area leaders. Baehre’s official appointment is pending final contract negotiations. She will become acting president in late summer, according to Charles Meng, president of the college’s board of trustees.
